Kathleen "Gail" Shepard

Kathleen “Gail” Shepard, 73, of Truxton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Garden View Nursing Home in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was born on September 1, 1946 in Hawk Point, Missouri and the daughter of the late Emmett and Eva E. (Monroe) Hoffmann. Gail was united in marriage to Larry Dean Shepard on April 27, 1968 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point. To this union one daughter and two sons were born. Gail graduated from Buchanan High in 1964. After Larry and Gail were married, they purchased a farm in Truxton in 1973 and many memories have been made there. She was an amazing cook who loved having her house full of family and friends. Gail spent many hours, helping her husband with the family farm. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point. She enjoyed socializing with friends and taking the grandkids for rides on the golf cart. She is survived by her three children, Pam LoCascio and husband, John of St. Peters, Brian Shepard and wife, Kymn of Warrenton and Darin Shepard and wife, Cherie of Warrenton; mother-in-law, Darlie Lamb of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Garrison and Madeline LoCascio, Zach and Nathan Shepard and Allen and Austin Shepard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmett “Junior” Hoffmann, Gary Hoffmann, Nick Hoffman and wife Helen Hoffmann and Pattie Hoffmann; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Nina Schladerbach and Ronald Shepard and wife, Shirley; nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bernie Hoffmann, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Julie Hoffmann, Jean Odem, Vicky Shepard and Jim Shepard, Vern Odem and Oscar Schladerbach. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 458 Main Street Hawk Point, MO 63349. Private interment will be held at Zion Cemetery.
