Nancy Ann Heffner

Nancy Ann Heffner, 79, of Troy, Missouri, formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born on July 9, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Theodore B. and Ruth (Sodee) Dashley. Nancy was united in marriage to Clarence “Chick” Heffner in July of 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union six children were born. Chick preceded her in death on April 5, 1987 Nancy was a homemaker and taking care of her family was top priority. She enjoyed working word searches, playing a good game of cards and watching old western shows. Nancy knew how to keep everyone on their toes and was very outgoing. She was known as “Grumpy Grandma,” and was loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is survived by one daughter and four sons: Nancy March of St. Charles, Mike Heffner of St. Charles, Jeff Heffner of Texas, Gary Heffner and wife Tina of St. Charles and John Heffner of Winfield; two sisters and one brother: Jane Terrwilliger of Texas, Richard Dashley of Washington, MO and Janett Hammock of St. Charles; several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence “Chick” Heffner, one son, Gregory Heffner, four sisters: JoAnn Kennedy, Judy Pollard, Claudette Creed and Donna Cerny, two brothers: Lee Ashley and Dennis Dashley. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel, located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the chapel.
