Nancy Lee Scarbrough

Nancy Lee Scarbrough, 81, of Warrenton, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, surrounded by her family in Warrenton, Missouri. She was born on July 27, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri and was the daughter of William M. and Lillian E. (Krause) Volland. Nancy was united in marriage to Orville Ray Scarbrough on March 22, 1965 in IL and to this union four daughters were born. Orville preceded her in death on August 16, 2013. Nancy graduated from Walnut Park High School and continued her education at Bryan Institute and St. Charles Community College. She worked as a medical assistant for various Doctor offices over the years. In her earlier years she was a member of the Wright City Baptist Church. Nancy enjoyed the time she spent in her flower garden and valued the time she spent with her family around the kitchen table. She was known for her delicious beef stew and veggie soup. Nancy was a caring mother and a wonderful grandmother. She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her four daughters: Lorie Myers and husband Fred “JR” of Moscow Mills, MO, Linda Herbel and husband Jimmy of Warrenton, Lisa Scarbrough of Warrenton, MO and Leeann Mayberry and husband Doug of O’Fallon, MO; one brother, William “Bill” Krause; grandchildren: Dena Wittich (Rex), Crystal Lejeune, Heather Smartt (Michael), Tiffany Marshall, John Jackson (Ciara), Hillary Barton, Brett Wallace (Elizabeth), Devin Barton (Brenna) and Rylan Barton; great-grandchildren: Landyn, Ryleigh, Jacey, Ryen, Tenley, Danyelle, Dominic, Conor, Jason, Lilly, Jordan, Elizabeth, Emersyn, William, Elijah and Aline; and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband and one brother. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379.
