Perry "Nick" Allen

Perry “Nick” Allen, 80, of Hawk Point, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on July 25, 1942 in Hawk Point, Missouri and was the son of the late Perry Clifford and Helen Mamie (Gabbard) Allen. Nick was united in marriage to Kathy Seeger on August 9, 1974 at the Silex Presbyterian Church in Silex, Missouri and together they shared six children. Nick was born and raised in Hawk Point, he graduated in 1960 from Buchanan High. He was always eager to make his own way in life and was never afraid of any business adventures. Nick obtained his auction diploma on March 11, 1966, continuing with the family legacy his two sons: Scott and Kyle Allen obtained their auction diploma and joined, Allen Auction & Real Estate Co. Prior to the family business he was in partnership with Charlie Nordwarld for 26 years with Allen Nordwald Auction Company. His voice was known in Lincoln and surrounding counties at various church auctions, county fair youth livestock auctions, truck and tractor pulls and many more events that gave back to his community. Nick dedicated his life to supporting his family and his community. He served on various committees over the years: Lincoln County Fair Board, where he was the 1981 Chairman, Hawk Point Athletic Association, where he served as the President, Lincoln County Democratic Club and the Hawk Point Lions Club. Nick was instrumental in the groundwork to relocate the Lincoln County Fair to where the fair is currently located and donated countless hours to the youth. He raised cattle and half-linger horses for many years. Nick was an avid hunter, enjoying deer, coon and field trials. He truly loved his family and the time he spent with them. His heart was full when his house was full! Nick’s gentle smile and heart of gold will be deeply missed on the auction block. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathy Allen of Hawk Point, MO; four sons and two daughters: Richard Allen of Elsberry, MO, Robbyn Eggering and husband Mike of Hawk Point, MO, Nick Allen and wife Carrie of Columbia, MO, Scott Allen and wife Jamie of Lake Saint Louis, MO, Kyle Allen and wife Katie of Troy, MO and Nichole Mollerus and husband Stephen of Curryville, MO; two sisters: Louise Black of Hawk Point, MO and Kathy Kinion of Warrenton, MO; grandchildren: Blake Allen (Taylor). Ryan Mooney (Mikah), Eric Mooney, Brett Mooney (Melanie), Sean Mooney (Shelby), Katie Allen, Sara Gibson (Jacob), Campbell Allen, Avery Allen, Brenan Allen, Claire Allen, Chloe Allen and Kade Mollerus; great-grandchildren: Cale Mason Allen, Liam Allen, Mabry Allen, Abagail Mooney, Maci Mooney, Hank Mooney, Cole Brock, Kourtni Mooney, Emma Mooney, Karsen Geeding, Jack Mooney, Isla Mooney, Evelyn Mooney, Marlee Mooney, Hudson Mooney and John Kyle Gibson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Debbie Angel and husband Jimmy, Connie Willer and husband Buddy, Carol Mudd and husband Steve and Sharon Mudd and husband Terry; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Perry Clifford and Helen Mamie Allen; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Mary Ellen and Allen Earnest Seeger and one brother-in-law, Larry Black. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Hawk Point, Missouri.
