Randy L. Johnson

Randy Lloyd Johnson, born on October 20, 1952, in Springfield, MO, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2026, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lloyd Johnson; his mother, Dorothy E. Johnson; and his beloved nephew, Dusty Johnson. He is survived by his siblings; sister Dana Ehrhardt (Don) and brother Bruce Johnson (Carol). Randy lived a life rooted in love, dedication, loyalty, and hard work. He was known for his kind heart, selflessness, and willingness to help others. Whether telling a story, sharing a laugh, or simply being there when someone needed him, Randy made a lasting impact on the lives of those around him. Through decades in the construction industry, he helped build not only structures but also a reputation for honesty, reliability, and quality. He was a truly skilled craftsman who even built his own home. Randy proudly served his country as a member of the United States National Guard, reflecting his sense of duty, commitment, and love of country. Above all, Randy was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 39 years, Denise, whose love and partnership were among the greatest blessings of his life. Together they built a family that was the center of Randy's world. Randy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found some of his greatest happiness hunting and fishing. Whether he was in the woods before sunrise or casting a line on a quiet lake, those moments brought him peace and joy. He loved sharing those experiences with family and friends, passing along stories, traditions, and a love of nature to those around him. Later in life, he found a passion for woodworking, making rings, and polishing unique rocks. He called this “piddling around.” He thoroughly enjoyed working with his wood lathe, turning bowls or just finding that special piece of wood to start a new project. He was a proud and loving father to Jared (Nancy), Jami (Jason), Justin (Ashley), and Becky (Mike), He was an adoring grandfather to Reese (Payton), Max (Kayla), Kennedy, Willow, Jason II, Payton, Fisher, Tucker, Finley, Reghan, Harper, and Grant. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Liam. His family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His love, guidance, and encouragement will continue to live on through each generation. Randy will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his faithful service to his country, his generous spirit, and his passion for the things he enjoyed doing. His legacy lives on through his family and the countless memories they shared. Though he will be deeply missed, he will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The family sincerely thanks everyone for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. Services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be held with full military honors at Hawk Point City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The Family of Randy Lloyd Johnson.
