Ronald Gene "Pete" Arthur

Ronald Gene “Pete” Arthur, 78, of Troy, passed on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at his residence in Troy, Missouri. He was born on June 24, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and the son of the late Fredrick M. and Helen M. (Volley) Arthur. He was united in marriage to Shirley Tucker on July 26, 1963 in St. Charles, Missouri and to this union three daughters were born. He served his country in the United States Navy from October 21, 1960 until he was honorably discharged on July 2, 1964. Pete worked in the printing trade for Color Associates for many years and owned and operated Honey Do Helper and Any Time Air. He was a member of the Hawk Point VFW Post #7560. Pete was a craftsmen when it came to woodworking. He was known for his hot plates, beautiful bowls and furniture. He enjoyed spending time with his family BBQing and fishing. Pete was a loving, caring man and he enjoyed helping anyone he could. He was known for his jokes and his great sense of humor. Pete was always up for playing games with the grandchildren and his wife. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Arthur of Troy, MO; two daughters: Donna Wildhaber and husband Pete of St. Charles, MO and Sheila Coleman and husband John of Truxton, MO; one brother, Bob Arthur and wife Cora of St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren: John Coleman, Ryan Coleman, Pete Wildhaber, Jr., Stephanie Presswood, Alan Melancon, Jr. Danielle Griffith, Shannon Coleman, Ron Cowen and Halie Wildhaber; eighteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick M and Helen M. Arthur, one daughter, JoAnne Cowen and husband Kevin, two brothers and two sisters: Bonnie Massey, Jackie Hines, Fredrick “Buzz” Arthur and Donald Arthur. Service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Journey Church located at 366 S Lincoln Drive Troy, MO 63379.
