Sheryl J. LeJeune

Sheryl J. LeJeune, 70, of Troy, Missouri, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on January 12, 1956, in Paragould, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Clarence Franklin and Nancy Pearline (May) Barnhill. Early in life, she completed cosmetology school, where she began building not only a career, but a life centered around hard work and caring for others. After earning her certification, she and her husband opened Main Street Salon in Moscow, which she proudly and successfully operated for 20 years while raising a family. Later in life, with the same determination that defined her, she earned her GED and went on to obtain an associate’s degree in counseling. Sheryl had a deep, genuine passion for helping others and found purpose in her work as a Domestic Violence Counselor with EMASS in Troy, MO. Her life was one of service—whether through her work or her involvement in the Order of Eastern Star, the Lincoln County Fair Board, the Lincoln County Fire Women’s Auxiliary, and as an Alderwoman in Moscow Mills. She found joy in the simple things—boating at the lake, fishing in the river, and dreaming of one day owning a horse. But at her core, Sheryl believed in standing up for others. She was a protector, an advocate, and someone who would not hesitate to step in when something wasn’t right. Though small in stature, she was incredibly strong—fearless in spirit, never backing down, and never afraid to speak the truth or call something out when she saw it. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished every moment with them—spoiling them, making memories, and especially those special sleepovers with her granddaughters and road trips with grandsons. She took a genuine interest in their everyday lives and made each one feel deeply loved and important. Sheryl was a fighter through and through—strong, compassionate, and unwavering. She was the one you could count on, the one who showed up, and the one who stood beside you when you needed her most. Sheryl is survived by her three sons: Michael LeJeune, Jr. and wife Deborah of Troy, MO, Derick LeJeune and wife Diana of Troy, MO and Quinton LeJeune and wife Krystal Lynn of Moscow Mills, MO; one sister, Debbie Vance and husband Terry of Washington, MO; grandchildren: Brenden, Cole, Kayla, Landyn, Ryleigh, Mackenzie and Abigale; step-grandchildren: Jayden, Dykota and Payton; niece and nephew: Ashley, Josh and Elizabeth; cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clarence and Nancy Barnhill, one brother, Frank Barnhill, grandparents, and former husband, Michael Lee LeJeune, Sr. Services are pending with KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monro Street Troy, MO 63379.
