Vicki Lee Abercrombie

Vicki Lee Abercrombie, 56, of Troy, Missouri, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on October 17, 1961 in Troy, Missouri, a daughter of Arlie P. and Charlotte Ann (Lenk) Creech, Jr. Vicki was united in marriage to Larry Vandiver and later met the love of her life, Ricky Alan Abercrombie. They were married on June 24, 1989 in St. Peters, Missouri. The happy couple were blessed with two children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Vicki went to grade school at the Sacred Heart Catholic School and attended the Troy Buchanan High School. In her earlier years she played Khoury League Softball. She worked at various factories in Lincoln County over the years. Vicki recently worked at the Walmart Supercenter in Troy, Missouri as a cashier and a door greeter. She enjoyed fishing the Mississippi River and playing cards. Every Friday night you would find Vicki playing Bingo at the VFW Hall in Troy, MO. Vicki was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed rooting them on. She was always easy going, that would do anything for anyone and known to be a mother to many. Vicki was very family oriented and loved the time she spent with them. She is survived by her one daughter and one son: Christina Hunter of Wright City, MO and Charlie Abercrombie of St. Louis, MO; her mother and step-father: Charlotte and Charles Wing of Troy; three brothers and four sisters: Larry Creech and wife Mary of Troy, Mary Gilmore and husband Doug of St. Peters, Sharon Voss and husband Bob of Troy, Karen Barks and husband Tim of Jackson, Ricky Wing and wife Carrie of Troy, Steve Wing and wife Monique of Troy and Debbie Reading and husband Dave of Eolia; three grandchildren: Shannon Hunter, Charles Hunter and Brock Hunter; three great-grandchildren: Jaysen Hunter, Jaymee Garrett and Jayna Garrett; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arlie P. Creech, Jr. and her husband, Ricky Abercrombie. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel, located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379.
