William Allen Emge

William Allen Emge, 66, of Silex, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, March 20, 2026, at his residence in Silex, Missouri. He was born on May 13, 1959, in St. Charles, Missouri, and was the son of William Adam and Helen B. (Luetkenhaus) Emge. Allen was united in marriage to Lula Wise on August 2, 1986, on the courthouse steps in Lincoln County and to this union, two daughters were raised. Allen graduated from O’Fallon High School in 1979 and continued his education in the Police Academy. He worked as an officer with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and Troy City. While working for the Troy Police Department, he was active with the K9 Unit. Allen later went to work for the City of Troy in the maintenance department for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter with the O’Fallon and Troy Fire Department. Allen was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed the time he spent hunting deer, ducks, rabbits, and squirrels. He liked to fish and could tell some pretty good stories from over the years. Allen was known for watching Old Western Movies and spending time with his family while they barbecued. He could fix just about anything and was always piddling on something. Allen valued the time he spent with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a kind, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Allen was always there when you needed him the most, and he didn’t know a stranger. His gentle smile and helping hands will be deeply missed. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lula Emge; two daughters: Melissa Schlote (Brad) and Heather Cushing (Joe); three brothers and one sister: Don Emge (Barb), Gary Emge (Kathy), Sharon Pisarek (Kenny) and Terry Emge (Dawn); three grandchildren: Will, Liam and Regan; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. A mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church located at 29 St. Alphonsus Road Silex, MO 63377.
